Israeli drone strikes kill 6 Syrian military personnel in Damascus
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Israeli drone strikes killed six military personnel of the Syrian transitional government in Damascus countryside, Syria’s state-run Al-Ikhbariya TV reported on Wednesday.
A Defense Ministry official told Agence France-Presse (AFP) that an Israeli drone struck a military residence belonging to Division 44 in the Harjaleh area of al-Kiswah, in Damascus western countryside, killing three members of the division.
The raid came just hours after the Israeli forces bombed a house in the village of Trunjeh in the north of Quneitra, killing one young man.
Since the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime on Dec. 8, 2024, Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes against military positions across Syria.
A day earlier, official sources in Damascus confirmed the deaths of four people — including three military personnel — in Israeli shelling that targeted two separate sites, one near the capital and another in southern Syria.
