Unidentified gunmen target SDF fighter in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A member of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) was injured on Monday after being targeted by unidentified gunmen in a town in Deir ez-Zor countryside, eastern Syria.
A military source from the SDF in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire with a machine gun on Muhammad al-Muhaysin, an SDF fighter, while he was on the main road in the town of al-Zughair, west of Deir ez-Zor.
The source added that al-Muhaysin, who was on leave at the time, managed to escape the ambush but sustained a gunshot wound. The attackers fled the scene.
