Israel prepares medical aid for Syria’s Suwayda amid ongoing crisis
SUWAYDA, Syria (North Press) – The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported on Saturday that the Israeli Ministry of Health is preparing to send medical equipment and supplies to the city of Suwayda in southern Syria.
According to the report, the aid will be delivered through Israeli security services and the army, pending final security clearances and coordination.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Ministry of Health also announced the immediate dispatch of an emergency medical convoy to Suwayda, following the opening of safe corridors to facilitate the continued provision of healthcare services in the city.
Citing the state-run SANA news agency, the ministry stated that the convoy—scheduled to depart within hours—will include 20 fully equipped ambulances, specialized medical teams, and large quantities of medications and emergency supplies.
“In light of the critical security situation in Suwayda, and in direct coordination with the Governor, the Ministry has initiated urgent measures to send the convoy,” the statement said.
The Ministry emphasized that the decision was made in response to newly opened humanitarian corridors aimed at easing the burden on local health infrastructure.
