Asayish arrest 4 in Raqqa drug raid, seize hashish, crystal meth
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Sunday the arrest of four individuals during a targeted security operation in the city of Raqqa, northern Syria.
In an official statement published on its website and social media channels, the Asayish reported that the anti-narcotics unit in Raqqa carried out a “specialized security operation” that resulted in the capture of four suspects involved in drug-related activities.
The operation also led to the seizure of significant quantities of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Among the confiscated items were 1.395 kilograms of hashish and 500 grams of crystal meth, along with tools used for drug consumption.
The Asayish confirmed that the detainees, along with all seized materials, have been referred to the public prosecutor’s office to proceed with further investigation and legal action.
