Over 31,000 Jordanian trucks enter Syria in seven months

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Jordanian General Customs Department announced that approximately 31,434 Jordanian trucks entered Syria between Dec. 16, 2023, and July 2, 2025, according to data reported by al-Mamlaka TV.

The construction sector led the way, accounting for 17,535 trucks, followed by the agricultural sector with 2,323 trucks, and the industrial sector with 2,289 trucks. The food sector ranked fourth with 1,265 trucks, while other sectors contributed a total of 8,022 trucks.

Among the most prominent Jordanian exports to Syria were 16,811 trucks of cement, 7,344 trucks of household furniture, and 2,011 trucks of vegetables.

In a related statement on Thursday, Khalil al-Hajj Tawfiq, head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Commerce, said that from January 1 to July 4, the number of trucks that left Jordan for Syria through the Jaber border crossing reached 83,222, while 77,632 trucks entered Jordan from Syria during the same period.
