Israeli forces conduct limited incursions in southern Syria

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Over the past two days, including Saturday morning, the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria has witnessed a series of limited incursions by Israeli forces into several villages and towns along the border.

The operations involved house searches and rooftop deployments but ended without any reported arrests.

Local sources told North Press that approximately 30 Israeli soldiers—accompanied by a tank, an armored personnel carrier, and multiple four-wheel-drive vehicles—entered the village of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah.

The forces searched several homes and took up temporary positions on rooftops before withdrawing two hours later.

In a separate incident, the town of Kodna experienced a similar incursion. Around 20 Israeli soldiers and accompanying military vehicles patrolled the streets and conducted brief searches of a few residences. The patrol left the area after roughly an hour without making any arrests.

A local source also said that an Israeli patrol reached the road leading to the town of Jabata al-Khashab, north of Quneitra, but withdrew after an hour without conducting any on-ground operations.

These movements mark the most significant Israeli incursions into the border strip in recent months.
