Missiles detected near U.S. base in Syria’s Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – North Press recorded late Sunday night the presence of unidentified missiles near the U.S. military base in Qasrak, located in the countryside of al-Darbasiyah, north of Hasakah in northeastern Syria.

North Press correspondent said that the missiles were launched from an unknown direction and lit up the night sky.

Initial indications suggest they may have been intercepted near the vicinity of the base.

The incident occurred just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that American forces had carried out strikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.

The escalation comes 10 days after Israel began its own series of airstrikes on Iranian territory.

As of the time of reporting, neither U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) nor the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) had issued any statements regarding whether the Qasrak base had come under direct attack.
