Iranian ballistic missile strike injures 50 in Israel’s Be’er Sheva
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel announced on Thursday that the number of injuries from the Iranian missile strike on the southern city of Be’er Sheva has risen to 50.
Haskel stated that Iran fired a ballistic missile directly at Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, not at a military base.
Israeli media reported that authorities ordered the full evacuation of Soroka Hospital due to the leakage of hazardous materials following the impact.
Iran claimed it had targeted a nearby military command center, not the hospital itself.
Meanwhile, Wolfson Medical Center in Tel Aviv reported it had received 16 casualties from the missile impact in the suburb of the city of Holon, including three critically injured individuals.
Hospital officials confirmed they are continuing to receive additional patients.
According to Israel’s Army Radio, there were serious and moderate injuries in Holon, and approximately 15 wounded in Ramat Gan.
The Iranian state news agency reported that its missiles struck Israeli military intelligence headquarters and an adjacent base near Soroka Hospital, asserting that the military infrastructure was hit with precision and that damage to the hospital resulted from the blast wave.
Israeli media confirmed that Iranian missiles hit direct targets in several cities, including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Holon, and Be’er Sheva.
In response, Iranian state television reported that Israel had earlier carried out a strike on the vicinity of the Khondab heavy water facility in central Iran.
