SDF dismantles ISIS cell in Raqqa in joint operation with Coalition
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Wednesday evening that they had dismantled an Islamic State (ISIS) cell during a joint security operation west of Raqqa, northern Syria.
In an official statement, the SDF said, “Our SDF’s Military Operations Teams (TOL), with the participation of International Coalition forces, conducted a joint and precise security operation in the town of Al-Mansoura, west of Raqqa, targeting an ISIS terrorist cell.”
The operation resulted in the arrest of two individuals, Abdul Sattar Abdul Fattah al-Muhammad, known as Abu Amira, and his brother Muhammad Abdul Fattah al-Muhammad, known as Abu al-Baraa, both residents of al-Mansoura.
According to the statement, the two were involved in the manufacture of explosives and booby traps, operating out of a lathe and milling workshop used to produce silencers, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and other lethal devices.
