Israeli forces kill man in rural Damascus

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – A man was killed on Thursday by Israeli army gunfire in the western countryside of Damascus, according to local sources.

The sources told North Press that Muhammad Ahmad Hamada was shot dead after an Israeli military force advanced into the town of Beit Jann in western rural Damascus.

They added that the Israeli force also arrested Ali Qassem Hamada, Muhammad Badie Hamada, Mamoun al-Saadi, Hussam al-Safadi, Ahmed al-Safadi, Muhammad al-Safadi, and Amer al-Badawi during the incursion.

According to the sources, the detainees were taken into Israeli-controlled territory—marking the first reported incident of the Israeli army arresting Syrian nationals.
