Unknown gunmen kill man, injure others in Deir ez-Zor
DIER EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen killed on Monday one person and injured two others in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
A local source from the town of Jadeed Bakkarahin the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor said the gunmen, who were masked and riding a motorcycle, shot at a group of young men standing on a public road in the town.
The attack resulted in the death of Saleh al-Addad and the injury of two others, all of whom were originally from the town of Marrat, also in eastern Deir ez-Zor, the source added.
He noted that the victims were not affiliated with any political or military group, and no party has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
This incident comes just two days after a similar shooting in the nearby town of Tayyana, where two young men were killed by unknown gunmen, also riding a motorcycle.
