Turkey says no immediate plans to withdraw troops from Syria

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler stated on Wednesday that Turkey currently has no intention of withdrawing its troops from Syrian territory.

In remarks to Reuters, Güler said that Turkey continues to provide training and advisory support to Syrian armed forces, while also helping to bolster their defenses.

He affirmed that Turkey’s primary objective in Syria remains the preservation of the country’s territorial integrity and unity, as well as the elimination of terrorist threats.

Commenting on regional tensions, Güler noted that de-escalation talks between Turkey and Israel are ongoing, with both sides aiming to avoid military incidents.
