War remnant blast injures girl in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A young girl was seriously injured on Saturday following the explosion of war remnants in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
A local source said that the incident occurred while the girl was harvesting crops with a group of others in the town of Gharanij, when a war remnant detonated.
According to the source, the explosion was likely caused by a hand grenade left behind from previous conflict.
The girl sustained severe injuries and was urgently transferred to hospitals in the Syrian capital, Damascus, for specialized medical treatment.
