Three Syrian Security officers killed in car bomb attack in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Three members of the Syrian General Security Directorate were killed on Sunday in a car bomb attack targeting a security facility in the city of al-Mayadin in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
North Press correspondent said, the bombing occurred near a security center affiliated with the General Security Directorate in al-Mayadin.
The explosion claimed the lives of the three officers and caused material damage to the exterior walls of the building.
Sources confirmed that the car bomb detonated in the vicinity of the facility rather than inside it, minimizing further casualties and infrastructure damage.
As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
