Aleppo Governorate clarifies cause of explosions at artillery college

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Governorate of Aleppo in northwestern Syria announced on Tuesday that the loud explosions heard across the city late on Monday night were caused by a technical malfunction at the Artillery College located on al-Ramouseh Hill, south of Aleppo.

According to a statement published on the governorate’s official Telegram channel, firefighting teams quickly responded to the incident and extinguished the resulting fire.

The authorities confirmed that there were no casualties or material damage.

Meanwhile, local media reported that the blasts were triggered by the explosion of a tank due to a technical failure, along with several shells detonating inside the college grounds.
