Lebanese forces seize large quantity of captagon near border with Syria

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Lebanese army announced on Monday the seizure of a significant quantity of captagon pills in the Hermel region, near the border with Syria.

In a statement, the army said that a military unit raided a captagon manufacturing facility located in the Harf al-Samaqa area of Hermel, on the Lebanese-Syrian border.

The statement added that the facility was dismantled, and authorities seized a large number of captagon pills, along with raw materials used in their production.

This operation comes just one day after the Jordanian army announced it had foiled an attempt to infiltrate and smuggle large quantities of drugs from Syrian territory.
