Kurdish Conference to convene in Qamishli with nationwide representation
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Representatives of Kurdish communities from across Syria will attend the upcoming Kurdish Unity Conference scheduled to take place in Qamishli, northeastern Syria, on April 26, Abdelwahab Khalil, member of the Preparatory Committee for the conference, said on Thursday.
Speaking to North Press, Khalil confirmed that delegates from Kurdish communities in Damascus, Aleppo, Hama, and Latakia will be present at the conference.
Earlier in the day, another member of the Preparatory Committee told North Press that all logistical and organizational arrangements have been finalized, and invitations are now being sent out to participants.
The date for the Kurdish Unity Conference was officially announced by General Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), on April 22. The event is set for April 26 and aims to foster greater cohesion and cooperation among Syrian Kurdish political and civil society groups.
