Syrian Ministry of Defense sets salaries for military personnel
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Ministry of Defense in Syria’s transitional government established fixed salary scales for military personnel, a government source told North Press on Monday.
According to the source, married service members will receive a monthly salary of $200 USD, while single personnel will be paid $150 USD.
The source noted that, prior to this decision, there were no standardized salaries within the Ministry of Defense. The move is part of broader efforts to streamline administrative and financial operations following the formation of the transitional government.
