Syrian forces seize large cache of suicide drones seize in Latakia  

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The General Security forces of Syria’s caretaker government seized on Tuesday a warehouse containing a significant stockpile of suicide drones in the city of Qardaha, located in Latakia’s countryside, western Syria.   

According to semi-official al-Watan newspaper, the security forces discovered the drones, which were reportedly intended for attacks on Ministry of Defense and General Security sites, as well as other key facilities.

The operation is part of an ongoing investigation aimed at uncovering and preventing potential threats linked to high-ranking officers of the former regime., the newspaper added.   

Meanwhile, a security source told Syria TV that local elders in Qardaha voluntarily handed over a number of FPV suicide drones to the authorities.
