SDF shoots down 6 drones near Tishrin Dam in Syria’s Manbij
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Monday that they had successfully repelled an attack on the Tishrin Dam in the countryside of Manbij, northern Syria.
In an official statement, the SDF said that Turkish-backed armed factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), attempted to advance on one of their positions along the Tishrin Dam.
The confrontation resulted in the killing of three SNA militants and injuries to two others, while the SDF also managed to shoot down six drones, three of which were suicide drones.
The statement further noted that on the Qaraqozaq front, Turkish forces and SNA militants bombarded the villages of Bir Hasso and Khashkhasha with heavy artillery, launching more than eight shells. The attack caused significant damage to civilian properties.
