Iraqi forces kill 2 ISIS militants in central Iraq
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Iraqi authorities announced on Thursday that two Islamic State (ISIS) militants were killed in an ambush in Salah al-Din Governorate, central Iraq.
According to a statement by the Iraqi Joint Operations Command, reported by the Iraqi News Agency, security forces in the Balkana sector, east of Salah al-Din, successfully eliminated two ISIS operatives, one of whom was wearing an explosive belt.
Additionally, the statement noted that al-Jazeera forces discovered a cave in the Anbar desert containing medium-sized weapons, launchers, various equipment, and supplies.
The Joint Operations Command emphasized that there had been no infiltration or clashes along the Iraqi-Syrian border.
Meanwhile, the Security Media Cell confirmed the deaths of two ISIS members and the injury of others in eastern Salah al-Din, stating that the terrorist group suffered casualties, including a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt.
