Turkish attacks on NE Syria result in 338 casualties in 2025
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A human rights organization reported on Tuesday that 388 people, including women and children, have been killed or injured in Turkish attacks on northeastern Syria since early 2025.
The “Insight” human rights organization, which operates in northeastern Syria, documented the deaths of 41 men, 20 women, 20 children, and five activists due to Turkish bombardments in the region since early 2025.
Additionally, the organization recorded the injury of 164 men, 104 women, 40 children, and six activists as a result of these attacks during the same period.
The organization highlighted a particularly grave incident on the night of March 17, when the Turkish military committed a “crime against humanity” in Kobani. According to the report, a Turkish drone strike killed nine members of the same family, most of them children, while two girls survived the attack.
