SDF arrests wanted individuals in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested on Tuesday evening several individuals in Deir ez-Zor countryside, eastern Syria, for inciting chaos, riots, and destabilizing security.
A source close to the SDF in Deir ez-Zor said that the forces imposed a nighttime curfew in the towns of Gharanij, al-Kishkiyah, and Abu Hamam after armed groups infiltrated the area from west of the Euphrates, firing randomly to provoke unrest, spread fear, and disrupt stability.
Speaking to North Press, the source added that the SDF deployed military reinforcements to these towns and launched targeted raids after receiving intelligence that members of these groups were hiding there.
As a result, four suspects were arrested, and weapons and ammunition were seized. Meanwhile, patrols also searched the towns of al-Jarzi and Abu Hardoub, though no arrests were made.
