Asayish capture member of ISIS cell in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) in coordination with the U.S.-led Global Coalition, announced on Monday capturing a member of an Islamic State (ISIS) cell during a security operation in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

In a statement, the Asayish confirmed that their forces, with Coalition support, successfully detained the individual in northern Deir ez-Zor after extensive monitoring and intelligence gathering.

The operation, conducted early on Feb. 21, targeted a suspect involved in assassination operations and the trafficking of weapons and explosives.

The raid was executed with precision, resulting in the suspect’s capture without any casualties, the statement added.
