Coalition forces conduct patrol in Deir ez-Zor, inspect key site
DIER EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The U.S.-led Global Coalition conducted on Sunday a patrol in the Deir ez-Zor desert, eastern Syria, stopping for several hours at a specific location.
A military source close to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that the patrol was launched from the Coalition’s base at the al-Omar oil field, extending to the Baghuz desert near the Syrian-Iraqi border.
According to the source, the patrol paused for several hours to inspect a site in the Abu Hamam desert, near al-Tanak oil field.
The source noted that the Coalition has inspected this location more than five times since the beginning of the month, though the purpose of these repeated visits remains unclear.
