Damascus Internal Security arrest 3 perpetrators of Tadamon massacre
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Damascus Internal Security announced on Monday the arrest of three individuals linked to the Tadamon Massacre carried out by members of the former regime in 2013.
The state-run news agency SANA quoted Abdul Rahman al-Dabbagh, head of Internal Security in Damascus, as saying, “A key figure among those responsible for the Tadamon massacre has been apprehended.”
He further stated that through initial interrogations, they identified additional perpetrators involved in the massacre and have since arrested two of them.
Al-Dabbagh confirmed that the three detainees had confessed to their participation in mass executions in the Tadamon neighborhood, where more than 500 men and women were killed.
In April 2023, the British newspaper The Guardian published a video showing military intelligence officers from the former regime executing 41 blindfolded and handcuffed individuals in the Tadamon district, south of Damascus.
