Global Coalition conducts military exercises in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The U.S.-led Global Coalition forces conducted on Sunday live-fire military exercises at their base in the Conoco oil field, following similar drills at the al-Omar oil field base in eastern Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, the day before.
A military source close to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that the Coalition carried out exercises and tactical drills over two days at the Conoco and al-Omar bases in the Deir ez-Zor countryside.
According to the source, the exercises involved the use of heavy weaponry and military equipment.
The drills coincided with the arrival of military and logistical reinforcements at Coalition bases in Deir ez-Zor, the source added.
