SDF captures former regime members in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out on Monday a series of security operations targeting remnants of the former regime and National Defense Forces (NDF)in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

A military source close to the SDF told North Press that SDF patrols raided the town of al-Ozba, located north of Deir ez-Zor, and captured five individuals with links to the former regime who had recently been involved in attacks against the SDF.

The source added that additional operations were carried out in the town of Baghuz, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, where two wanted individuals were apprehended.

On Sunday, SDF patrols arrested three other individuals in the town of Shaafah, east of Deir ez-Zor, who are accused of targeting military positions.
