Turkish shelling kills 2 children in Raqqa
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – Two children were killed, and a woman was injured on Sunday in artillery shelling by Turkish forces and affiliated armed factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), targeting the countryside of Raqqa, northern Syria.
A local source told North Press that 12-year-old Asia Hamad al-Hussein and one-year-old Abdul Rahman Ismail al-Hussein were killed when Turkish artillery struck the village of al-Jamasiya in eastern Ain Issa countryside, north of Raqqa.
The source added that 20-year-old Arij Khalid al-Hussein sustained injuries in the attack and was transported to hospitals in Raqqa for treatment. Tragically, the infant succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
The shelling also resulted in the complete destruction of the family’s home, the source added.
