Hawl Camp prepares to repatriate 66 Syrian families
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – A senior official at Hawl Camp in the southern countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syrua, announced on Saturday ongoing preparations to repatriate 66 Syrian families to their areas of origin within Syria.
The official urged international organizations to fulfill their responsibilities in facilitating this process.
Jihan Hannan, an administrator at the Hawl Camp, told North Press, “The priority now is for humanitarian cases, and efforts are underway to repatriate 66 families.”
She clarified that “the exact date for the repatriation has not yet been determined.”
Hannan called on organizations such as the UNHCR and the Red Cross to step up and assist the camp’s administration in ensuring the safe and timely return of these Syrian families to their home regions.
The initiative highlights the ongoing challenges faced by displaced Syrians, as well as the need for stronger international cooperation to address humanitarian and logistical hurdles in facilitating their return.
