SDF captures 2 ISIS leaders in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Friday that they have captured two key leaders of ISIS sleeper cells in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria. 

In an official statement, the SDF described the operation as a precise security mission targeting ISIS operatives in the region.

The SDF added that its Military Operations Teams conducted a successful operation against ISIS terrorist cells in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, resulting in the capture of two prominent leaders of these cells.

The operation, carried out in the town of Khasham in the east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, led to the capture of Karim al-Nahar and Abdul Karim Amir al-Karim al-Nahar.

According to the SDF, both individuals were involved in orchestrating multiple terrorist activities targeting SDF forces, civilian institutions, and fuel transport vehicles. Their capture is seen as a significant step in dismantling ISIS networks operating in the region.
