MSF expresses concern over escalation of violence near Tishrin Dam
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières – MSF) voiced on Wednesday concern over the ongoing military operations near the Tishrin Dam in the countryside of Manbij, northern Syria.
In a statement on X, MSF expressed alarm at the escalating violence in northern Syria, particularly in the areas of Manbij and Tishrin Dam, highlighting “attacks that have affected ambulances and resulted in fatal injuries to health workers.”
The organization warned that such hostilities jeopardize vital humanitarian and life-saving assistance for the population in northeastern Syria.
Moreover, MSF urged all conflicting parties to take immediate and necessary measures to safeguard civilians, healthcare personnel, and medical facilities, in full compliance with international humanitarian law.
