SDF announces 22 SNA casualties near Tishrin Dam in Syria’s Manbij
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said on Tuesday that 22 militants of the Turkish-backed armed factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA) were killed and injured during clashes near the Tishrin Dam and surrounding villages in the Manbij countryside, northern Syria.
According to the SDF’s statement, Monday’s confrontations resulted in 8 fatalities and 14 injuries among the SNA.
The statement also highlighted that Turkish forces and their affiliated SNA factions launched heavy artillery strikes near the Syriatel Hill. However, the SDF confirmed that their forces sustained no casualties or damage in the bombardment.
Additionally, the SDF added that their forces conducted 12 targeted strikes on SNA positions, leading to the destruction of four vehicles and a motorcycle.
On Monday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) issued a warning about the ongoing Turkish shelling of the Tishrin Dam, emphasizing the grave threat it poses to the lives of hundreds of thousands of residents who rely on the dam’s infrastructure.
