SDF announces killing 29 SNA militants in clashes in Syria’s Manbij
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Monday that 29 militants of the Turkish-backed armed factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA) were killed on Sunday, 15 others were wounded, and multiple military vehicles were destroyed during clashes in Manbij countryside, northern Syria.
In a statement, the SDF said that SNA militants launched a two-pronged attack on the hill near the village of Khirbat al-Zamala, on the outskirts of Manbij. The clashes resulted in the death of 8 militants and injuries to several others.
The statement also noted that Turkish forces heavily bombarded the vicinity of Tishrin Dam on Sunday, deploying drones alongside artillery strikes, with the shelling continuing into the evening hours.
Additionally, the SDF highlighted a large-scale assault by the SNA near “Syriatel Hill,” leading to intense clashes. These confrontations resulted in 21 deaths and 15 injuries among SNA militants.
The SDF pointed out that its air forces targeted 25 positions near Tishrin Dam, destroying three tanks, three armored vehicles, and an ammunition depot. Two vehicles equipped with Dushka heavy machine guns were also destroyed during the operation.
