SDF announces killing of 17 SNA militants in Syria’s Manbij
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Saturday the killing of 17 militants of the Turkish-backed armed factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA) near the Tishrin Dam and the surrounding villages in the Manbij countryside, northern Syria.
The SDF stated in a statement that the number of casualties of SNA militants during clashes on Friday reached 17 killed and 21 injured, including four Turkish soldiers.
Moreover, one SDF fighter was killed in the clashes according to the statement.
The SDF’s statement added that three armored military vehicles belonging to SNA factions were destroyed, noting that the factions targeted their positions with two suicide drones but did not result in any damage.
The SDF pointed out that the clashes occurred near the village of Atshana and on a hill facing the village of Khirbet al-Zamala, as well as in the city of Dayr Hafir, south of Manbij.
The SDF warned of any serious repercussions that might affect the Tishrin Dam in the Aleppo countryside due to the recent escalation and increased Turkish shelling.
