AANES urges new Syrian government to address Turkish attacks
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) called on Wednesday for the new Syrian administration to take decisive action against Turkish attacks in northern Syria.
The AANES stressed the need for an inclusive administration that represents all Syrians and prioritizes national security.
The AANES condemned Turkey’s recent aggression, stating that the Turkish attack on the Tishrin Dam and the ongoing occupation of Syrian territories are clear violations of international law and blatant acts of aggression against the Syrian people.
The AANES urged the new administration in Damascus to fulfill its responsibilities by taking a firm stance against Turkey’s incursions, ending the occupation, and protecting Syrian sovereignty.
The statement emphasized the importance of not excluding any party from the forthcoming national dialogue conference, highlighting the need for fair representation of women and youth in the dialogue process.
The AANES proposed forming a preparatory committee to collaboratively outline the framework and objectives of the national dialogue conference. It insisted that the process should not be monopolized by any single group or party.
“The conference’s agenda should be prepared collectively, ensuring inclusivity and transparency in developing a roadmap for Syria’s future,” the statement read.
