Jordan announces over 2,400 trucks crossed to Syria in 2025
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Khalil al-Haj Tawfiq, President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Commerce, announced on Sunday that more than 2,400 trucks have crossed from Jordan into Syria since the beginning of the year up until Jan. 11.
During the same period, 1,973 trucks entered Jordan from Syria, comprising 1,055 Jordanian trucks, 565 Syrian trucks, and 353 from other countries, according to Tawfiq.
Jordan’s exports to Syria include a variety of goods, such as cement, adhesives, threads, plastic, juices, confectionery, fruits, vegetables, fertilizers, and more.
Tawfiq noted that these exports primarily cater to Syria’s construction, industrial, agricultural, and food sectors.
Additionally, on Jan. 6, two humanitarian aid convoys crossed into Syria via the Jaber/Nassib border crossing with Jordan, highlighting the ongoing regional cooperation in addressing Syria’s needs.
