Military Operations Command arrests 3 drug traffickers in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Military Operations Command of the new Syrian administration arrested on Tuesday night three individuals on charges of drug trafficking in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

A military source affiliated with the Military Operations Command told North Press that a patrol conducted a raid on houses used for drug trafficking in the town of Abu Kamal.

The source added that three suspected traffickers were apprehended during the operation, while others managed to escape.

Large quantities of narcotic substances were found in the possession of the arrested individuals, the source noted.
