Local network records 69 killing in Syria’s Daraa in December 2024

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – The local network Daraa 24 issued on Wednesday a report recording 69 killings in December 2024 in Daraa Governorate, southern Syria, coinciding with the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

According to the network’s report, at least 69 people were killed in December, including 33 civilians. Many of the civilian deaths were caused by stray bullets fired during celebrations marking the end of al-Assad’s regime.

The report also revealed the discovery of two mass graves in Daraa.

Additionally, the network documented at least 79 injuries, including 66 civilians. Among the injured were 32 children and nine women.
