ISIS attack injures 2 Asayish members in Syria’s Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) said on Monday that two of their members were injured in an attack carried out by an Islamic State (ISIS) cell targeting a patrol in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.

In a statement, the Asayish detailed that six ISIS operatives ambushed an Asayish vehicle in the town of Dashisha, south of Hasakah.

The attackers, using three motorcycles, opened fire and injured two Asayish personnel.

The statement added that Asayish forces responded, wounding two members of the ISIS cell. The remaining attackers fled to an unknown location, and efforts are underway to track them down.
