Israel Orders Syria’s Qunaitra Residents to Surrender Weapons

QUNAITRA, Syria (North Press) – The Israeli army has issued a strict deadline for residents of Qunaitra and its countryside to hand over their weapons.

Following the fall of the Assad regime, Israeli forces have occupied parts of Syrian territory, extending their control to the western outskirts of Daraa city.

On Tuesday, the Israeli military warned residents of Jibatha Al-Khashab, located in the Qunaitra countryside, to surrender their weapons within 48 hours. This comes after a similar ultimatum was issued two days ago to residents of Al-Baath City in Qunaitra. Residents were given only two hours to comply, under threat of a military storming of the city.

Additionally, Syrian and Arab news agencies have reported that Israeli forces have advanced 7 kilometers into Syrian territory, establishing barriers to restrict movement in and out of areas under their control.
