SDF initiates counter-offensive against SNA factions in Syria’s Manbij
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – The Manbij Military Council, a component of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), announced on Monday that it had thwarted an attack by Turkish-backed armed factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), near the Tishrin Dam, southeast of Manbij, northern Syria.
The SDF stated that the Council forces successfully repelled an assault by Turkish-backed militants in the vicinity of the dam.
It also highlighted the destruction of a military vehicle belonging to the factions near the Qaraqozaq Bridge on the western bank of the river.
The Manbij Military Council also initiated a counter-offensive against SNA factions in the villages surrounding the Tishrin Dam. This operation has resulted in the destruction of several military vehicles and the death of dozens of militants.
Moreover, SDF forces launched a combing operation across several villages near the dam, which the SNA militants had been using as staging grounds for their attacks, according to the statement.
