Locals find dead military personnel in Syrian Desert

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Shepherds discovered on Wednesday unidentified corpses dressed in military uniforms belonging to the toppled Syrian regime’s army in the countryside of Homs, central Syria.

Residents of the town of al-Sukhnah said that local shepherds found four bodies near the al-Arja area in near the desert. The deceased individuals were wearing military uniforms but carried no identification documents and were not recognized by local residents.

A local doctor in the town estimated that the individuals had been dead for at least 15 days, noting that they had been killed by gunfire.
