Israeli airstrikes target military sites used by IRGC in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Israeli airstrikes targeted on Sunday night an arms depot, an earthen bridge, and a military barracks previously used by the Syrian regime in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, in three separate raids.
A local source from Deir ez-Zor told North Press that Israeli aircraft launched an airstrike on an arms depot near the Deir ez-Zor military airbase, where Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces were stationed. The attack resulted in the complete destruction of the depot.
The source added that a second airstrike targeted an earthen bridge connecting seven villages to the western bank of the Euphrates River. This marked the second strike on the bridge within a week.
The third airstrike, according to the source, hit a military barracks belonging to the Division 17 in the desert near al-Mayadin. The barracks were completely destroyed in the attack.
