SNA kills woman with special needs in northern Aleppo – Advocacy group
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Synergy/Hevdesti Association, a victims’ advocacy group operating in Northeast Syria, documented on Wednesday new violations against displaced individuals by Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA) as they fled ongoing battles in northern Aleppo’s countryside.
In a detailed report, the association highlighted the execution of Amina Hanan, a 40-year-old Kurdish woman with special needs, by the SNA factions as they seized control of the town of Tel Rifaat in northern Aleppo.
Synergy also noted the arrest of numerous civilians who chose to remain in their homes in the Shahba region rather than flee.
Additionally, the Synergy revealed that returnees to Afrin were subjected to interrogation and theft at checkpoints operated by the factions. It further noted that more than 50 Kurdish returnees to Afrin remain unaccounted for, raising alarms over their safety and the escalating human rights abuses in the area.
