Infant dies of cold after being displaced from northern Aleppo

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – A four-month-old infant died on Tuesday night due to cold after his family endured a three-day journey from northern Aleppo countryside to Raqqa in northern Syria.

The family of Noh Muhammad Rasho, originally from the town of Bulbul in the countryside of Afrin, northwestern Syria, reached a gathering point for displaced individuals at a stadium in Raqqa on Tuesday evening.

Their arduous journey was spent exposed to harsh conditions, without adequate shelter or resources.

Thousands of displaced people remain stranded in northern Aleppo countryside, facing ongoing violations and life-threatening dangers from Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA).

Amid these challenges, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) continues efforts to evacuate those trapped in the area through a safe corridor.
