Syrian Defense Ministry announces killing, injuring dozens of HTS, SNA fighters in Idlib, Hama
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported on Tuesday that dozens of fighters from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), formerly known as al-Nusra Front, and the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) were killed or injured in clashes in the countryside of Hama, west-central Syria.
In an official statement, the ministry confirmed that joint Syrian-Russian warplanes carried out concentrated air and missile strikes targeting southern Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria, and northern Hama.
The strikes reportedly resulted in significant casualties among what the ministry referred to as “terrorists,” alongside the destruction of their vehicles and weaponry.
Meanwhile, HTS-affiliated media outlets claimed their forces are making advances from multiple directions toward Hama, with only a few kilometers separating them from the city.
On November 26, HTS and the SNA launched a ground offensive, capturing Idlib, substantial parts of Aleppo, and parts of Hama’s countryside.
