Asayish dismantle drug network in Syria’s Tabqa, arrest 14 suspects

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Wednesday the dismantling of a drug network in the city of Tabqa, northern Syria, capturing 14 suspects.

The Asayish said they captured 14 individuals for involvement in drug trafficking, use, and promotion.

According to an Asayish statement, the capturing was carried out through a series of operations conducted this month, following precise intelligence about the suspects’ activities.

During the raids, authorities seized significant quantities of captagon, crystal meth, hashish, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun.

The Asayish added that investigations into the network are ongoing.
