Jordanian army thwarts border infiltrations, 1 smuggler killed 

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Jordanian army announced on Sunday that it had foiled multiple smuggling and infiltration attempts along its border with Syria. One smuggler was killed, and six others were arrested.

A military official from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that two infiltration attempts were thwarted within the past 24 hours.

“Engagement rules were applied, resulting in the death of one infiltrator and the arrest of six others,” the official explained. “Those arrested have been handed over to the relevant authorities.”

Earlier today, the army also reported stopping another infiltration attempt by an individual crossing from Syrian territory, who was referred to the appropriate authorities.
