IED blast injures 6 SDF fighters in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – An improvised explosive device (IED) explosion targeted on Thursday a military vehicle in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, in eastern Syria, injuring six fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The explosion struck a vehicle belonging to the Hajin Military Council, a component within the SDF, near the town of al-Ozba in the east of Deir ez-Zor.

Six SDF fighters were injured in the attack, with some reported to be in critical condition.

At the time of the incident, the vehicle was en route to facilitate the rotation of fighters, replacing personnel from Hasakah who were heading toward the city of Hajin in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside.
